We are seeking an Associate Manager, R&D Clinical Portfolio Sourcing, Global to join our Global Procurement team, supporting our global clinical portfolio in a hybrid work model. In this role, you will manage sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and procurement governance activities that enable quality, compliance, cost effectiveness, and timely delivery of clinical development priorities while collaborating with Clinical Development Unit partners, cross-functional teams, and suppliers. Discover your role:Manage sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and procurement governance activities aligned to clinical portfolio priorities, study requirements, and category strategies.
Apply supply market intelligence, benchmarking, supplier insights, and business requirements to support sourcing recommendations and procurement decisions.
Partner with Clinical Operations, Data Management, Biostatistics, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Legal, and other collaborators to align supplier deliverables, contracts, budgets, and decision points.
Lead or support sourcing events, supplier evaluations, proposal reviews, negotiations, statement of work development, contract execution, and supplier onboarding.
Oversee contract lifecycle activities including negotiation support, compliance monitoring, change orders, renewals, and issue resolution.
Support supplier governance through KPI reviews, governance meetings, issue management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Review supplier pricing, rate cards, commercial terms, and change order assumptions to enhance cost transparency and budget stewardship.
You balance cost, quality, risk, compliance, timelines, collaborator expectations, and patient impact while fostering effective collaboration across global teams.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, supplier management, or clinical development procurement.
Experience supporting or managing sourcing and contracting activities within pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, clinical development, research and development, healthcare, contract research organization, laboratory, or other regulated environments.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage sourcing, contracting, supplier, and collaborator activities with appropriate governance and critical issue.
Working knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing methodologies, contract lifecycle management, supplier engagement, and procure-to-pay interdependencies.
Ability to support regulated procurement activities while maintaining quality, compliance, documentation, inspection readiness, data privacy, and applicable Good Practice (GxP) requirements.
Experience partnering with cross-functional customers to define supplier requirements, support negotiations, and deliver sourcing and contracting outcomes.
Ability to evaluate supplier proposals, rate cards, task-unit costs, pricing assumptions, commercial terms, and change orders to support negotiations and budget management.
Ability to demonstrate market intelligence, supplier information, benchmarking, and internal data to support sourcing strategies and supplier recommendations.
Experience with procurement, sourcing, contracting, spend analytics, collaboration, and productivity platforms such as Oracle, Zycus, Archlet, Sievo, iCertis, Copilot, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent tools.
Familiarity with clinical outsourcing, contract research organization services, central laboratories, imaging, electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA), interactive response technology (IRT), data management, biostatistics, specialty providers, or related clinical development categories.
Experience supporting supplier governance, KPI tracking, supplier issue management, and continuous improvement activities.
Experience contributing to procurement capability building, process optimization, automation, digital adoption, or AI-enabled productivity improvements.
Ability to work effectively with global teams across geographies, cultures, and time zones while supporting India-based execution and global procurement priorities.
Strong communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed global environment.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Progressive procurement experience, including Pharma or BioPharma experience
- Experience managing category processes and suppliers across multiple categories
- Proven experience in sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management for Lab Consumables or related categories
- Experience providing insights on rates, unit costs, costing structures, cost models, and total cost of ownership
- Experience using external data sources, market intelligence, and supply market insights to evaluate sourcing opportunities
- Experience supporting global supply market evaluations using market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools
- Experience supporting supplier relationship management activities and building productive supplier partnerships
- Working knowledge of sourcing and contracting tools, ERP systems, and eRFX platforms (including Oracle, Zycus, Ariba)
- Hands-on experience with sourcing platform technologies (LabViva, Zageno, Science Exchange, Scientist.com or similar)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using data analytics, automation, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate)
- Experience implementing inventory management programs and technologies (RFID, QR code solutions, consignment, VMI, single-use materials, bioreagents, media)
