We are seeking an Associate Manager to support our Payroll department with a proven track record. This role will be responsible for supporting Oracle Payroll and Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) modules. They will assist in managing day-to-day operations, system implementation, payroll processing, compliance, analysis reporting, enhancements, and special projects.
A typical day might include:
- Monitor and evaluate payroll processes and procedures to ensure controls are effective and follows company policies, as well as with all federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and maintain documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for processes, enhancements, and projects.
- Assist in end-to-end payroll processing and related activities.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT departments to integrate payroll systems with other business systems, ensuring seamless data flow and alignment across functions.
- Responsible for training staff on processes and procedures as required.
- Resolve day-to-day system-related issues and manage employee escalations, ensuring prompt and effective solutions to maintain smooth payroll operations.
- Assist with testing related to OTL, Payroll, and special projects.
- Responsible for the Month-End and Quarter-End Close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of all payroll-related financial tasks.
- Ensure tax funding, tax reconciliation, review and analysis of tax notices, W-2 processing, W-2c processing, tax return filings, and tax return amendments.
This role might be for you if you have:
- Strong ability to breakdown information, analyze it, and communicate results.
- Experience with payroll system implementation and integration.
- Excel super-user (Pivots, Formulas, Macros, etc.).
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and assignments, meet deadlines, and communicate results.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills are mandatory.

- Experience with Workday and/or Oracle platforms
To be qualified for this role, we require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of proven experience. This role requires being onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
