The Role

This key position is to lead and support financial planning and reporting activities and to provide exceptional business partnering to the SC Johnson Commercial/Marketing teams to achieve financial targets and support strategic initiatives and projects.

About the role:

Duties and responsibilities include -

  • Support and lead key planning cycles, including development of annual budgets, quarterly business updates and monthly SOP business outlooks.
  • Support month-end closing and reporting activities - P&L/variance analyses along with business insights, preparation of portfolio financials.
  • Work with marketing commercialization team, provide business partnership and lead financial analysis on key initiatives including for new product launches, product post launch analyses, profitability and pricing analysis
  • Drive Profit & Loss improvement projects including cost savings, margin improvement and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects and requests from cluster management, business partners and regional or global teams as the representative of North Asia Cluster Finance
  • Can play the manager’s roll if he or she is absent.
About You:

We are seeking the following skills and experience -

  • Japanese and English language capabilities (Japanese: Native level, English: Business level)
  • 8 years' experience in FP&A or Accounting/Commercial Finance analysis areas
  • 5 + years working within a Global organisation
  • Capability to manage tasks and projects autonomously, with limited manager’s monitoring
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Experience using database querying tools such as Power query/pivot, BPC, SAP
  • Management experience highly regarded
  • FMCG industry experience is highly advantageous
