Position Summary

We are looking for an Associate Manager to lead day-to-day billing activities across multiple service lines supporting the London Stock Exchange Group. In this role, you will help ensure billing processes are completed accurately, on time, and in line with company policies and controls.

You will work closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Master Data, Finance, and other stakeholders to support revenue recognition, deliver an excellent customer experience, and drive continuous operational improvement. This role offers the opportunity to develop leadership capabilities while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team.

What You'll Do

  • Support Sales and Sales Operations with the setup, validation, and invoicing of new business contracts.

  • Manage the Billing Operations mailbox and ServiceNow queue, ensuring requests are supervised and processed within agreed service levels.

  • Monitor contract progress across Sales, Master Data, Billing, and customers to ensure timely completion.

  • Complete billing checklists and perform contract reviews to support accurate contract setup.

  • Ensure revenue contracts are set up accurately and invoices are issued right the first time.

  • Supervise scheduled billing runs and resolve interface or processing issues promptly.

  • Review, validate, and process variable billing transactions.

  • Coordinate the timely delivery of quarterly and annual invoices to customers.

  • Review the work completed by team members, providing guidance and ensuring quality and accuracy.

  • Prepare draft credit notes and rebill documentation for approval.

  • Respond proactively to stakeholder queries and ad hoc requests.

  • Prepare month-end revenue accruals for unrecognised revenue.

  • Complete month-end bad debt provision calculations and provide updates on credit and rebill activities.

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing information and responding to audit requests.

  • Coach and support team members through training, knowledge sharing, and development activities.

  • Work collaboratively across Finance Shared Operations and partner teams to achieve shared business objectives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a professional accounting qualification (or are studying towards one).

  • At least three years of accounting experience. Experience in Accounts Receivable or Billing within a large organisation is an advantage.

  • A good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

  • The ability to work independently, tackle problems, and make sound decisions.

  • Collaboration skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across teams.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • The flexibility to work UK business hours.

  • Experience using ERP or financial systems such as Oracle is desirable.
