Job Overview:
The Associate Legal Counsel will play an important role in supporting CSP’s commercial contracting procurement activity, project work, designing and implementing measures to maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations and Group policies and processes and actively seek to mitigate any risk relating thereto while driving business objectives forward.
Key Responsibilities:
You must be an established team leader with the ability to manage stakeholders across a complex corporate environment.
Must provide a high quality, cost effective and user-friendly legal services in a timely, proactive and solution-oriented manner, taking into account the business objectives, legal and compliance issues and the contractual risk and associated liabilities.
Must have significant experience with corporate matters, contracting, legal project work and data privacy.
Responsible for supporting the legal aspects of CSP business, including the management of personnel supporting this work.
Lead the design and implementation of processes to improve the service offered to the CSP business and foster the design and implementation of self-service tools enabling members of the legal team to focus on greater value added tasks.
Proactively monitor and manage contractual commitments and any claims relating thereto.
Uphold the integrity of the business and ensure the Group’s compliance program is adhered to by actively deploying and overseeing the implementation of compliance policies and processes adopted by the Group, including those relating to anti-corruption, antitrust, trade compliance (incl. export control) and data privacy (incl. GDPR, CCPA).
Qualifications:
Solicitor with a current practising certificate in England and Wales or Northern Ireland.
NQ or up to 2 years of legal experience, ideally with a focus on commercial transactions and contracts with both a technology team in a reputable law firm and in-house in a technology company.
Demonstrable experience as a senior leader in a complex, fast-paced organisation.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to work independently, manage teams that support multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
