The Learning & Development (L&D) Associate for Tech, Data & AI will play a key role in building and scaling the learning ecosystem that enables New York Life's technology organization to thrive. Reporting to the Head of L&D for Tech, Data & AI, this role will support learning operations, content development, analytics, and enablement activities that advance the organization's technical capabilities.
You'll collaborate with engineers, data professionals, and learning leaders to bring to life programs that develop critical skills in architecture, cloud engineering, AI, and data. You'll also help shape the learning experience that supports a culture of innovation and technical excellence - on par with leading fintech organizations.

What You'll Do:
1. Learning Operations & Program Support
- Support the execution of the Tech, Data & AI learning strategy, coordinating logistics, scheduling, communications, and reporting.
- Manage day-to-day operations of learning programs, from enrollment tracking to completion and impact analysis.
- Maintain documentation, program calendars, and internal communication materials for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the L&D Head on learning sprints, academies, and manager development initiatives.
2. Content Curation & Organization
- Create and maintain a seamless, user-centered learning experience aligned to the Tech, Data & AI (TDAV) organization's learning objectives and strategy.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) across technology, data, and AI disciplines to develop and refine NYL-specific learning content, including job aids, guides, toolkits, and microlearning assets.
- Apply foundational instructional design principles to ensure learning content is clear, relevant, and actionable for NYL's technical audience.
- Curate and organize content to make it easy for employees to discover learning aligned with their roles and career paths.
- Partner with the TDAV Communications team to help employees find and engage with relevant learning opportunities through campaigns, newsletters, and targeted messaging.
- Gather and analyze user feedback to continuously improve content organization and overall learning experience.
3. Learning Platform Enablement
- Support the rollout and continuous improvement of the enterprise learning platform.
- Coordinate content migration, structure, and taxonomy to ensure an intuitive learner experience.
- Partner with technology and central L&D teams to manage data integrity, user testing, and platform feedback loops.
- Assist in defining and maintaining content categorization and metadata standards to enhance discoverability.
4. Analytics & Reporting
- Use Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to design and maintain dashboards tracking participation, skill growth, and learning outcomes.
- Generate insights that link learning engagement to business and talent metrics.
- Partner with data and analytics teams to improve the accuracy and visualization of learning data.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations that help the TDAV leadership team make data-informed decisions about learning investments.
5. Collaboration & Culture
- Act as the operational backbone for the Tech, Data & AI learning community - coordinating meetings, maintaining documentation, and ensuring cross-team alignment.
- Support engagement campaigns and communications that celebrate learning milestones and promote continuous growth.
- Build strong relationships across technology, data, HR, and communications teams to drive adoption and impact.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional experience, ideally in a technology, data, or learning & development environment.
- Strong technical fluency - comfortable engaging with engineers, data scientists, and digital tools.
- Experience working with data visualization or analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and writing skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
- Curiosity about technology, data, and AI, and a passion for enabling others to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting learning content development, learning analytics, or instructional design projects.
- Familiarity with learning experience platforms (LXPs) or digital content management systems.
- Exposure to Salesforce, AWS, or other cloud ecosystems (helpful but not required).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Learning Sciences, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $64,500-$90,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
