The Associate, Information Technology supports the desktop (personal computers, thin-clients, telephones, and printers) environment. Is responsible for providing effective front line help desk services and on-site support. This position will be working on site and is based in San Juan, PR.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participates in the deployment, maintenance, repair and general support and upgrade of desktop hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers.
- Assists the bank employees with desktop issues, both via the Help Desk and On-site visits.
- Identifies user’s hardware & software needs, provides immediate assistance, or refers needs to the proper division.
- Repairs user desktop hardware when required.
- Defines users, user group, and access privileges to end users for files and other resources.
- Re-sets application passwords.
- Helps maintain overall network in optimal performance by monitoring and analyzing their components.
- Follows standards and procedures to ensure that PC, printing, and related resources are available, that a maximum number of issues are resolved in minimum time, and service requests are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
- Maintains desktop resources in accordance with the established standards.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required.
- Two (2) years of experience in Desktop Support, IT or similar position required.
- Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
- Network + Certification or A+ Certification is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of computer troubleshooting and resolution, including hardware repairs required.
- Able to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish & English required.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with clients is required.
- Knowledge and experience of computer troubleshooting and resolution, Microsoft Windows-based end-user computing environments & Telephony Services required.
