Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking an Associate Industrial Security Analyst / Personnel Security – Level 1 to join our team in Edwards AFB, CA.
In this entry-level role, the selected candidate will help develop and administer security programs and procedures supporting a high-profile Special Access Program.
Role and Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day personnel security (PERSEC) duties to ensure program briefed personnel are assessed for initial and continued eligibility for access to classified information
Maintain security records in JADE, SIMS, and other security databases; ensure the integrity of information entered and conduct audits as necessary
Manage “E Files” for personnel assigned to your site and other locations serviced by Palmdale; maintain accurate records in compliance with DoD policy to ensure inspection readiness
Collaborate with the Melbourne PERSEC team to assist with the timely creation of PARs and monitor submittal/approval times using AP-CAR or other NG systems
Assist team members in conducting initial, annual, and events driven SAP training
Be knowledgeable of IC, DoD, DAF, and NG reportable situations and how iTRIP and MySecurity help in collecting this information
Support other security functions as needed to improve skills and better prepare for future security roles
Process Visitor Access Requests (VAR)
Assist in the reporting of adverse information to appropriate collateral and SAP points of conduct; understand the process in DISS, JADE, and the use of NG Form C-817.
Author work center procedures in writing detailing day-to-day operations to guarantee continuity of operations
Remain current on required NG and customer training requirements
Perform other security and administrative duties as required to meet organizational goals and mission needs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree OR 4 years of security experience will be considered in-lieu of a degree
Current Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance with ability to meet enhanced security requirements and obtain/maintain SAP eligibility and access
US Citizenship required
Computer savvy and proficient in MS Office suite (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, TEAMs) and willing to learn new IT systems
Excellent customer service and communication skills; must be an effective speaker and writer with outstanding organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment, take guidance, and follow projects through to completion with oversight
Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines
Willing to work a mixed schedule and extended hours, as needed, in support of a fast paced, deadline driven environment,
Able to solve problems by utilizing training, knowledge, tools, and analytical skills
Must have the ability to lift/carry up to 20lbs, stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or documented experience performing a security statement of work in a DoD SAP environment
In-scope investigation (T5, T5R, SSBI, SBPR, PPR) completed within last 6 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE) program
PERSEC experience
Knowledge of: DODM 5205.07, DISS, JADE, AP-CARS, and SIM
Skills Required
