About this role
The team is looking for Associate-level investment data specialists to support the delivery and expansion of Aladdin’s data capabilities across a growing client base. In this role, the Associate will contribute to client data implementation projects across multiple data domains, working closely with senior team members, partners, and clients. The role provides hands-on exposure to end-to-end data onboarding, analytics enablement, and client-facing delivery within Aladdin.
The Associate will be responsible for executing defined project tasks, supporting data onboarding activities, and assisting with analysis, testing, and documentation, while developing a strong foundation in Aladdin data conventions, investment data, and implementation best practices.
Responsibilities
Support client data implementations by assisting with requirements gathering, scope clarification, and project planning activities for the data management workstream of Aladdin implementations.
Execute assigned tasks within the data workstream and track progress against project milestones under the guidance of senior team members.
Collaborate with client investment, technology, and data teams to support data mapping, normalization, and implementation activities.
Learn and apply Aladdin data conventions and target-state data management workflows, assist with client walkthroughs as needed.
Use standard interfaces and configurable tools to onboard client data from clients and/or third-party data providers.
Assist with configuring analytics jobs and deliverables by supporting the setup, validation, and troubleshooting of analytics workflows to ensure accurate and timely outputs in collaboration with senior specialists.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks; help investigate data issues and support resolution with internal teams, vendors, or clients.
Support business and technical analysis by documenting client requirements and translating them into clear inputs for data stewards, production solutions, and engineering teams.
Participate in client UAT activities by executing test cases, validating results, and documenting findings.
Prepare and maintain client-facing documentation using standard templates and support the transition of new clients into production support in partnership with Data Operations.
Contribute to process improvements, standardization efforts, and internal initiatives aimed at improving data onboarding efficiency and quality.
Qualifications and skillsets:
We are looking for quick learners, independent thinkers with new perspectives to challenge the way we operate and help prototype new solutions we can ultimately deploy to a standard implementation playbook. Individuals with strong technical and analytical interests and skills would find the data implementation practice best in supporting their continuous developments through the ownership of critical client project elements as well as organizational initiatives to constantly evolve the platform and best-practice, leveraging data and technology.
Bachelor’s Degree is required, with preference to business, technology, or engineering focus.
4+ years of experience either as an investment/data technology implementation specialist or with direct relevant user, development, service, or operation experiences.
Familiarity with investment data and analytics is required; Private markets or derivative knowledge is a plus.
Strong attention to details and focus on high quality delivery.
Comfortable working with clients and partners at all levels of the business.
Relentless desire for understanding how processes work and entrepreneurial drive to learn new skills and technologies.
Strong track record of successfully handling and completing large and complex projects. Critical thinking and demonstratable experience using technology to solve problems at scale.
Shown ability to work well independently or as part of a team in an innovative, ambitious, and fast-paced environment, run multiple tasks, adapt to change, and work well under tight time restraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
Working experience with SQL preferred. Knowledge of UNIX/Linux, Python or Java is a plus.
