Description
Tufin is seeking to hire an Associate General Counsel to support the company's global operations. The role can be based in Boston (Tufin's global HQ) or remote. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing PE-backed company that is a leader in network security policy automation. The right candidate will have the contracting experience and skills to add immediate value in helping to drive Tufin's sales growth, with a desire to expand and develop her/his legal career as an in-house generalist. As a member of Tufin's core legal team, the AGC will have the opportunity to gain broad exposure and experience in all areas of law relating to Tufin business operations and benefit from direct reporting to and guidance from the General Counsel as well as interactions with other management executives. The individual will be expected to function at a high level of professionalism, intelligence and drive with a can-do problem solving approach.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate enterprise license and partnership agreements for Tufin products and services.
- Review and negotiate various vendor agreements in support of different functional teams.
- Work with our commercial teams to improve our customer-facing forms and legal processes.
- Develop support materials and provide trainings to educate our direct sales and channel teams on contract terms and other legal issues.
- Provide pragmatic, business-minded guidance on legal issues.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Exercise sound legal and business judgment, think strategically and execute tactically, and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
Requirements
- J.D. degree from a top tier U.S. law school and in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
- 7+ years of commercial transactions experience in an in-house and law firm environment.
- Experience with other types of corporate transactions, data privacy, employment, IP and legal operations, a plus.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business model, shift easily between strategic thinking and tactical execution, and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Strong legal acumen with excellent analytical, communication, organizational, negotiation, and drafting skills.
