- Manage a variety of litigation and pre-litigation matters, including restrictive covenant litigation, insurance regulatory issues, potential E&O and professional liability exposures, and general commercial disputes;
- Provide leadership and counseling around litigation and serve as the primary liaison to outside counsel, managing litigation strategy, budgets, and outcomes across multiple firms and jurisdictions;
- Issuing cease-and-desist letters, coordinating notifications to new employers, and supporting related litigation strategy;
- Investigate and manage E&O and broker/agency errors exposure, including coordinating with the Company’s E&O carrier, advising on broker-of-record terminations and client notifications, and corresponding with claimant and opposing counsel;
- Draft and review litigation holds, ensuring timely issuance, tracking, and compliance;
- Prepare quarterly litigation and claims updates to executive leadership, and advise Regional Presidents and senior leadership on litigation risk and strategy; and
- Evaluate potential legal exposures and make substantive decisions for all lines of business.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one state;
- 3+ years of litigation experience at a law firm and/or in-house role, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a strong work ethic;
- Insurance defense and restrictive covenant experience is highly preferred;
- Employment experience is a strong plus;
- Experience with Smartsheets and Claude is a plus;
- Detail-oriented with excellent legal judgment and strong organizational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Effectively deals with issues that are complex, confidential, and sensitive in nature;
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines; and
