Overview of Position
The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Enterprise FP&A team and working across Business Finance to gather support and capture insights to tell the Financial Story of Assurant’s monthly and quarterly performance.
This role focuses on reporting, forecasting, and supporting financial operations across business units.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Provide critical financial support to FP&A/Finance management, including quarter-end earnings, forecast, plan, and management presentations
Support Investor Relations requests, including reviewing the quarterly earnings release, earnings script, segment analytics package and Q&A preparation document
Prepare insightful analysis to finance and business leaders in support of strategic objectives, leading to timely actions and value creation.
Support the Monthly Enterprise Expense story, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of expense allocation, business trends, and financial implications.
Prepare and develop reports on a daily, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis
Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations, automate manual processes, and reduce complexity.
Partner with IT, Data, and Finance teams to enhance financial reporting and analytics tools.
Embrace the use of AI, predictive analytics, and machine learning to enhance financial analysis, forecasting and decision-making.

What are the requirements needed for this position?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial analysis or a related role.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to interpret and create financial reports
Strong analytical and data modeling skills
Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
2+ years of financial analysis experience.
Experience with financial modeling and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a plus.
Ability to build data models, quickly manipulate data and conduct financial analysis.
ability to create and understand financial reports.
Strong communications skills and ability to collaborate across a matrix organization
Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to multi task and meet deadlines, with a results-driven mindset.

Pay Range:
$49,300.00 - $81,300.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
