This role leads cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment, leveraging strong SAP expertise to manage product costing, inventory control, manufacturing variances, and financial compliance, in close partnership with operations.
Serve as a trusted subject matter expert on material characteristics, MRO, and production processes for internal customers, ensuring accurate and reliable operational knowledge.
Own product cost analysis and SAP ERP reporting, ensuring accurate cost roll‑ups, inventory balances, manufacturing and price variances, and providing key insights to operations and finance leadership to support annual roll‑up activities and cost accuracy.
Design, maintain, and analyze ERP and operational data, ensuring data integrity, effective reporting, and seamless integration of information to support finance analysts and business objectives.
Design and improve operational procedures and processes to meet audit standards, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
Manage one direct report, providing guidance, oversight, and performance support.
Participate in annual audits and special projects, working closely with internal teams and external auditors or consultants to provide required information and ensure accurate historical recordkeeping.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Public Accounting or equivalent).
Minimum 4+ years of experience in Finance and Cost Accounting roles.
Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a solid background in General Accounting and Cost Accounting.
Knowledge of Mexican accounting standards and U.S. GAAP.
People management experience
Bilingual Spanish–English, with advanced English proficiency (minimum B2 level).
Strong knowledge of SAP ERP.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
