The Role

Introduction

We are looking for an Associate Field Marketing & Training Manager for the Americas Region. Working closely with other marketing groups, sales and retail partners, you will develop and execute field marketing and training activities to build category, brand and product awareness and expertise in the North American market. This position requires a dynamic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing field training activities. You should have an understanding of what it takes to bring sophisticated consumer products to market along with retailer and distribution go–to–market strategies. This position reports to the Director, Consumer Engagement & Activation.

What You Will Do: 

  • Daily management of Execution, and measurement of all field marketing, in-store and online training, in-store demonstrations and competitive intelligence for the North American market with our sales teams and retail partners. 

  • Supervise the 3rd party agency relationships & up to 20 Field Marketing Representatives supporting these marketing activities in the regions.  

  • Coordinate development and execution of all field marketing and training activities and content. 

  • Manage the execution of assigned iRobot training programs including but not limited to Retail Sales Associate Training program, Monthly focus periods, and support the content & copy direction for all new & existing SKUs, team and program related materials including training curriculum (on/off-line), collateral, retail specific materials, etc 

  • Work in collaboration with cross functional teams (Product management, Customer Care, PMK, Brand,) to ensure training content and tactics align with approved messaging.   

  • Manage a rolling 12-month marketing plan for in-store and online training and monthly calendar by country and retailer. Ensure calendar aligns with other regional activities including media programs, affinity programs and retailer marketing plans. 

  • Support regional trade shows and retail trade show events. 

  • Development of all program support elements including ideation, agency management, budget / expense tracking. 

  • Close collaboration and frequent communication with the sales team and our retail partners is required.  

  • Ability to navigate internal processes and partner with finance, operations and other departments as needed. Budget management required. 

  • Develop and manage all programming related to gathering competitive and retail intelligence in field marketing and make program recommendations based on research and insights learned. 

To Be Successful You Will Have: 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in consumer products within North America. Preferably experience working within: Field Team Management in an agency or consumer products organization, retail, or marketing / sales function. 

  • Experience with the creative development process and program execution, specifically with field marketing and training required.   

  • Exceptional communications skills required with proven ability to influence and foster strong relationships both internally and with retail partners. 

  • Highly organized and very strong, proven project management skills. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines. 

  • Proven performance creating programs that educate RSPs and consumers to effect sell-through and market awareness. 

  • Demonstrated ability of analyzing the performance of marketing programs. 

  • Travel Required: 20 - 30% Domestic 

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products - particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. 

  • Proficiency using e-learning content development software and hosting platforms – particularly Articulate 360, Rise, Learning Pool or similar. 

  • Knowledge and/or proficiency in technology and/or consumer electronics is very beneficial. 

  • Bachelor's degree required with preferred concentration in the areas of Marketing and Business.
