Job Description
Rockwell Automation is looking for an associate engineer to join our global embedded software organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your career in embedded software by solving challenging problems using modern technologies, tools, and practices.
You will report to Manager, Embedded Software.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded software for new Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Implement PLC core functionalities to new platforms and implement PLC features and subsystems with technical guidance from senior engineering personnel
- Become a member of an agile team leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework
- Work in a variety of hardware and software environments
- Use Jenkins for continuous integration, GitLab for SCM, CMake build system and Jira for issue tracking
- Develop automated tests, expanding and improving automated test coverage
- Work in an environment with a strong focus on code quality and reliability
- Leverage well-set processes to deliver high quality product
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Knowledge of C++ and Python (depending on the project, up to 50% of development is done in Python)
- Fluency in Czech and English (the team communicates in Czech, but the company standard is English)
- Team player attitude
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Any previous experience with embedded software development for an RTOS or Linux
