Job Description:

The Associate Director/Senior Manager, Agency Management will be an important role in driving the growth of SLHK agency force. He or she will expand the current agency teams through organic and inorganic recruitments, supervise and manage the corresponding business portfolio, monitor the manpower and business quality,  liaise and coordinate with various departments and functions on business governance, support and empowerment.
 

Performing in this role requires strong business acumen and excellent understanding in the agency channel in Hong Kong. He or she needs to have strong, business drive and strategic focus on achieving business targets, good organization and problem solving skills to perform seamless execution on agency business initiatives, handle complexity and stakeholder management in different level.

Responsibilities

1. Driving Agency Performance and Manpower Expansion

  • Support of agency recruitment initiatives including organization of corresponding recruitment events, activities, incentive campaigns and promotion initiatives
  • Review and facilitate the approval of recruitment files and ensure the selection process for identifying quality recruits
  • Continued performance review with agency and drive performance improvement through identification of weaknesses, drive and monitor agency execution of solutions
  • Deliver overall sales and recruitment targets with a focus on quality business

2. Support implementation of agency proposition and other agency transformation initiatives

  • Work as a change champion with agency to embed agency proposition into each district
  • Help develop and provide feedback to different functions on agency transformation initiatives

3. Perform as a Communication Bridge between Company and Agencies

  • Communicate regularly and timely with agency leaders and advisors on all agency-related issues, recruitment initiatives, client promotion, agency incentives, marketing campaigns, operation enhancement, product roadmap etc
  • Being the key person and contact point for business related issues and represents agency perspective during the collaboration with other agency supporting functions as well as other departments
  • Actively collect feedback from agency leaders and key advisors, raise and propose potential enhancement and new initiations for achieving business objectives and capturing new market opportunities

4. Maintain Agency Momentum and Engagement as well as support Quality Assurance

  • Ensure agency aligning with company’s mission, vision, value and strategy
  • Support QA on compliance of industry requirements and guidelines, and company’s rules and practices
  • Ensure effective communication and relationship between Company and agency force by regular interaction with all levels of managers and advisors
  • Ensure high engagement level of agency force and organize recognition and motivation events according to their performance and achievement
  • Review the sales progress with agency teams and support the rollout of specific agency initiatives including outreach activities, lead generation campaigns, sales challenges and motivational events

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree holder
  • At least 5 years’ agency sales and business development experience
  • In-depth understanding of sales within the insurance industry, sales trends, manpower flow, new product development and market intelligence,
  • Strong ability to build up and boost the overall sales and recruitment capabilities of the agency force
  • Good understanding and network related to the market need in Hong Kong, the latest industry trend and development in China insurance industry as well as GBA related policies and business opportunities
  • Extensive networking and interpersonal skills in insurance market
  • Strong project management, problem solving and stakeholder management skill
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills
  • Fluent in Chinese (both speaking and writing) and English
