Summary Generated by Built In

OneMain is the largest provider of personal loans for consumers who have imperfect or are trying to establish credit. The credit card product launched in 2021 and is scaling to play a significant role in the OneMain mission to improve the financial lives of hard-working Americans. The Card business is designed to be digital-first and product led. As a product leader at OneMain, you and the rest of your product team will create and continuously improve upon the functionality, content, and look and feel of in-app servicing for customers who are past due.  You’ll do this with a combination of instinct, analytics, empathy, influence, and personal drive to lead your team to build and ship creative solutions to tough problems. Removing these barriers while delivering on our business objectives is core to what our product team does.

An ideal member of the Card product leadership team, you will bring a proven track record of delivering amazing customer experiences and results at scale. You have a strong bias for action, and you’ll do whatever it takes to get it done. You are a strategic thinker who can see over the distant horizon, but also jump right into the mix and own the execution details. You are passionate about innovation and technology and are driven to deliver outcomes that help our customers improve their financial lives and our business reach our goals. You can balance the art and science of product management, mixing strong data-driven focus with product intuition to challenge the boundaries of what a great product experience can do.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Digital App experience for our Card Collections and Recovery Customers.  Drive new ideas fleshed out with business cases to help drive Net Credit Loss Savings.
  • Aligning closely with our digital communications that drives our customers into the application experience ensuring a cohesive experience to drive conversion.
  • Have a testing mindset looking at our Payment Plan journeys and optimize with A/B testing framework.
  • Work with the team whether that’s internal employee experience or digital customer facing to uncover their motivations, provide helpful solutions, and remove friction so they can more effectively ‘get jobs done’ with our products. You’ll achieve this by creating a roadmap of innovative ideas and seamless journeys that help customers engage with us and allow OneMain team members to interact with them.
  • Own the execution part of the Collections Roadmap working closely with your technology partner.
  • Dive into the data and analytics to identify new opportunities to help drive strategic thinking.
  • You’ll partner with our Operations team to identify opportunities to shift costly interactions away from our team members and towards instances where they can digitally self-serve.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders throughout Engineering, Design, Operations, and Collections Strategy to ensure the alignment, prioritization, and execution rhythm across launches. Together you’ll discuss trade-offs between projected outcomes, sequencing initiatives within your backlog, and the impacts from recent regulatory guidance.
  • You’ll live the data, so it informs all aspects of the product and development process from outlining strategic direction, defining customer intent, creating solutions, and validating hypotheses through experimentation. But you’ll also know when to balance this with your product intuition and deep customer knowledge.
  • You’ll communicate status updates, strategic risks and key dependencies, progress against objectives, and win both sideways to your team members and up to senior leadership. You’ll become a critical voice for the team helping clarify the strategy and amplify their great work.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience working on successful digital consumer products for 8+ years, preferably at high scale companies
  • Experience leading Product teams as a People leader
  • Agile Experience required
  • Thinking like a customer whether that’s the employee journey internally vs a digital experience for our customers
  • Experience creating a product vision and strategy and aligning it across cross-functional teams and the broader organization
  • Extensive hands-on experience working across the digital product development process: road mapping, problem definition, exploration, requirements documentation, front and back-end development, testing, and code deployment

Preferred Skills:

  • Collections Operations/Product experience a plus
