Position Summary

The Associate Director, Oncology Sales Operations supports operational initiatives related to sales force planning and processes and plays a key leadership role in driving cross-functional collaboration across the matrix organization—particularly as it relates to field engagement and execution. This individual partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Training, and other key functions to ensure the field sales organization is fully equipped and empowered to deliver performance with purpose and impact. As a member of the Sales Operations team, this role is instrumental in leading key business initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, and enhancing field engagement through best-in-class planning, communication, and execution—aligned to our core pillars of Clinical Excellence, Selling Skills, and Business Acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Meeting & Event Leadership

    • Lead planning and execution for national and regional sales meetings, including POA Meetings, Regional Meetings, and DBM Development Meetings.

    • Oversee Oncology presence and field engagement at key congresses and advocacy events, ensuring alignment across brands and functions.

    • Support Sales Leadership Society (SLS), Quarter Century Club (QCC), and the DBM Advisory Board, driving cross-functional collaboration and communication.

  • Operational Excellence & Field Enablement

    • Maintain and manage the Oncology Sales Master Calendar, ensuring clear visibility of key milestones and priorities across the organization.

    • Oversee and continuously enhance Oncology Sales SharePoint content and accessibility to ensure field readiness and efficiency.

    • Coordinate and support Monthly DBM Calls and Quarterly All-Sales Calls, ensuring alignment of key messages and priorities.

    • Lead post-congress broadcasts (e.g., ASCO, ASH) to disseminate insights and drive field engagement.

  • Strategic Initiatives & Communication

    • Lead and/or support above-brand initiatives and launch planning across the Oncology portfolio.

    • Contribute to internal communications and engagement efforts, including the “Living Our Mission” Monthly Newsletter, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and culture.

    • Partner across the matrix to identify, prioritize, and deliver initiatives that enable the field to focus on what matters most—accelerating brand growth and ensuring timely patient access to medicines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or M.S.) preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

  • Proven experience in sales force enablement, meeting planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively engage with senior leadership and field teams.

  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to translate insights into operational plans.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and other collaboration platforms.

Compensation Overview:

Field - United States - US: $154,090 - $186,718

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
