Title: Associate Director, Media Strategy

Salary Range: $115,000.00- 130,000.00 (On Target Earning)
The Opportunity
As an Associate Director of Media Strategy, you will play a crucial role in supporting RFP and presales projects for our top accounts within your region. You will work closely with Media Strategists of all levels, providing guidance and leadership to elevate our media strategy initiatives. Additionally, this role will directly provide support to the national Director of Media Strategy by helping to represent the team in various cross-departmental meetings, task forces, and go-to-market teams. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of media processes and a passion for continuous improvement.
The Daily To-Do
- Support and potentially manage Media Strategists of all levels in your region, contributing to weekly team meetings and national Media Strategy meetings
- Provide advanced support for higher level MS or cross-departmental projects (more than SME, managing policies etc)
- Develop and lead projects that contribute to the streamlining and upleveling of the Media Strategy department
- Represent the Media Strategy team in various departmental and cross-functional team meetings, reporting updates and project roadmaps back to the Director of Media Strategy
- Advance the level of industry knowledge and training throughout the entire Media Strategy department, find ways to introduce new strategic tools and best practices to the larger team
- Support RFP and presales projects for the top accounts or top salesperson in your region
Qualifications
- 7+ years online sales marketing experience
- 2+ years managing a team of 3+ direct reports
- Advanced experience in developing strategic, creative, innovative and effective proposals and marketing materials for an advertising sales team in an online media company. Prior experience for a consumer-facing, ad-supported website or with a digital ad agency preferred.
- Ability to develop concepts and ideas that are effective online and deliver value to our advertisers and users
- Self-motivator with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Highly creative and strategic; proactive; strong organizational skills; effective communicator
- Expert in Google Slides – a must – and MS Office Tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent people-management skills
- Ability to work cross-departmentally and act as subject matter expert and advocate for the department
- ComScore, MediaRadar, eMarketer skills strongly preferred and encouraged
- Proactive mentality for finding unnoticed areas of improvement, both within the team and within the larger Kargo organization
