We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Associate Director – Mechanical to join our Building Services team in Singapore and become part of a network of over 400 Building Services Engineers across the Asia Pacific. As an Associate Director, you will play a key leadership role in driving project delivery, strengthening client relationships, provide technical leadership and growing our Building Services capability. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee technical and commercial performance, and contribute to the continued success and growth of the business.

Responsibilities

 

In this role, you will be responsible to:

  • Drive MEP project delivery excellence (Mechanical Lead) across multiple complex projects, ensuring high-quality, coordinated and compliant design outcomes
  • Lead and influence multidisciplinary project teams, providing technical leadership, design assurance, and governance across deliverables
  • Translate engineering principles into practical, efficient and commercially viable solutions, balancing technical performance with cost and programme considerations
  • Act as a trusted client adviser, developing and maintaining strong relationships through a clear understanding of business drivers and project objectives
  • Represent the business externally, engaging confidently with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
  • Take accountability for project risk and performance, applying sound technical, commercial and financial judgement to achieve delivery targets
  • Understand and manage the impact of engineering decisions on cost, programme and project profitability
  • Demonstrate strong consulting, communication and networking capability, contributing positively to team culture and broader business growth

 

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore, will be an advantage)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) accreditation in Singapore is advantageous
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within an engineering consultancy environment, with increasing responsibility in design and project delivery
  • Strong track record in HVAC and building services (MEP) coordination, across sectors such as healthcare, commercial, hospitality, industrial and education
  • Demonstrated technical depth and practical application of mechanical engineering principles in complex project environments
  • A client-focused and delivery-driven mindset, with the ability to influence outcomes and build trusted relationships
  • Ability to operate with autonomy and initiative, while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organisational, coordination and delegation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
