The Role

Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Marketing supports the strategic marketing and communications priorities designed to strengthen brain health awareness and education in all communities with a focus on reaching rural communities.

This grant-funded role oversees the development, launch and evaluation of multiple public awareness campaigns designed to elevate brain health while ensuring all work aligns to Association brand standards, grant requirements and health equity priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of compelling consumer‑facing campaigns and content that elevate awareness and education of brain health and drive action in all communities.
  • Support media planning and optimization efforts to increase reach, impressions and message resonance among rural populations.
  • Coordinate creative development, message testing, asset production and campaign rollout to rural audiences.
  • Track and report on consumer engagement metrics, media performance and campaign KPIs.
  • Model, support and implement the Alzheimer's Association brand, maintaining brand integrity and consistency throughout all communications.
  • Advance the Association’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and health equity, with particular focus on rural and underserved populations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or similar field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in an agency, nonprofit or health communications setting; experience in grant-funded program work preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience developing consumer-facing content and messaging that drives awareness, engagement and measurable action.
  • Strong understanding of paid, earned, owned and shared media channels and how to develop and launch integrated consumer marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders on strategy, creative development, testing, launch and ongoing evaluation of public awareness campaigns.
  • Ability to interpret audience insights, market research and performance data to guide campaign decision‑
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to tailor messages to diverse rural audiences.
  • Ensure consistent brand and message execution across all communications.
  • Ability to travel domestically and to rural communities.

Position Grade & Compensation: Grade 508 The Alzheimer's Association’s good faith expectation for the salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $100,000
