What you'll be doing…

Verizon is seeking a vision-driven product leader to drive the growth of our consumer financial services portfolio and unlock significant new value for our customers. In this role, you will support the strategy, identification, and deployment of innovative consumer-facing financial products that deepen customer engagement and expand Verizon's presence in the fintech and financial services ecosystem. You will be responsible for evaluating market dynamics, conducting deep consumer research to understand user needs, and defining compelling value propositions. By turning market insights into actionable product strategies, you will play a central role in transforming how millions of customers interact with Verizon’s expanding digital services.

To realize this growth, you will identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships with leading third-party financial institutions to co-create differentiated, highly competitive financial solutions. You will be responsible for building robust, data-backed financial business cases, defining economic models, and securing leadership buy-in to fund and prioritize new initiatives. From concept through rollout, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across product design, engineering, compliance, marketing, and operations to architect seamless end-to-end user experiences and execute high-impact go-to-market strategies that accelerate adoption and maximize customer value.

The ideal candidate for the role will possess a blend of strategic vision, fintech expertise, commercial acumen, and execution muscle:

  • Fintech & Consumer Financial Services Expertise: Deep understanding of consumer fintech products (e.g., co-branded credit cards, buy-now-pay-later/point-of-sale financing, digital wallets, rewards programs, or embedded finance) and the associated regulatory, risk, and compliance landscapes.
  • Strategic Business Development & Partnership Management: Proven track record of evaluating, negotiating, and managing complex, high-value strategic partnerships with third-party financial institutions, banks, card networks, or fintech platforms.
  • Commercial & Financial Acumen: Exceptional financial modeling skills with demonstrated ability to build rigorous business cases, quantify economic models, evaluate P&L implications, and secure executive alignment for multi-million-dollar initiatives.
  • Customer-Centric Product Vision: Strong user-empathy and background in leveraging quantitative and qualitative market research, customer journey mapping, and competitive analysis to translate consumer pain points into high-value product features.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Matrix Execution: Adept at driving consensus, orchestrating cross-functional teams (legal, compliance, marketing, engineering, digital UI/UX, operations), and managing complex go-to-market strategies within a large, matrixed enterprise environment.
  • Agile & Data-Driven Mindset: Hands-on experience leading products through the full lifecycle—from concept and discovery to launch and optimization—using key performance indicators, user metrics, and iterative testing to measure success and drive growth.

What we're looking for…

We are seeking a vision-driven, commercially minded product leader with experience scaling consumer fintech products—such as embedded finance, digital wallets, co-branded credit cards, or BNPL solutions—within complex, matrixed enterprises. The ideal candidate combines strong customer empathy with sharp financial acumen, possessing a proven track record of crafting data-backed business cases, negotiating high-impact partnerships with financial institutions, and aligning cross-functional teams to bring innovative digital experiences to market. A hands-on leader, you excel at translating consumer insights into growth-oriented product strategies that expand market presence, drive deep customer engagement, and unlock significant commercial value.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • 8+ years of product management experience leading consumer-facing digital products, with a primary focus on consumer fintech, embedded finance, co-branded credit cards, POS financing/BNPL, or digital wallet ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated track record in strategic business development, including negotiating, structuring, and managing complex, high-value commercial partnerships with banks, card networks, and financial institutions.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with proven success in P&L evaluation, robust financial modeling, building data-backed business cases, and securing executive buy-in for large-scale strategic initiatives.
  • Deep customer-centric vision, skilled at translating qualitative and quantitative consumer research, customer journey mapping, and competitive analysis into high-impact product value propositions
  • Proven cross-functional leadership within matrixed enterprise environments, with expertise in orchestrating cross-functional teams across engineering, product design, marketing, legal, compliance, and operations.
  • Agile product lifecycle execution, using key performance indicators, user metrics, and iterative testing to guide products from initial discovery and go-to-market rollout to long-term performance optimization.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
