Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide operational guidance to clinical teams and other stakeholders on the preparation of the budget for external costs, primarily clinical trial related expenses. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and approval of the Lifetime Cost (LTC) of the trial in collaboration with Clinical Program Director and assign team members in alignment with program partner.
- Ensure accuracy of global financial planning and reporting of assigned clinical trials, including external budget forecast. Ensure external budget for trials is managed in compliance with internal finance processes (including maintenance of supportive documentation).
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of external budget for program/project in the clinical planning and reporting tools. Manage financial requirements of clinical program budget by providing consolidated latest estimates on current and future year budget.
- Liaise and align with internal and external stakeholders regarding forecasts and status of program timelines.
- Ensure clinical trial planning and budgeting tools are accurate regarding timelines and financial estimate. Develop and apply department specific finance metrics. Implement efficient standard budget control systems, which are aligned with internal controlling systems (e.g., NFCM). Ensure processes are implemented consistently across clinical programs.
- Work in close collaboration with Procurement & Finance teams to ensure consistency across clinical trial contracts. Represent Clinical Development department during Finance Audits.
- Manage, document, and communicate risks and opportunities monthly. Support EPT with accurate and up-to-date early trial pricing estimates and support information and keep those ballparks up to date.
- Lead special projects, particularly those related to savings initiatives. Implementation and management of the financial set up of the comparator sourcing process. Deliver monthly audit proved documentation for cashflow planning and accounting to local finance for comparator scouring
- Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical industry in Finance or significant relevant experience; clinical finance experience preferred.
- Experience in working with electronic databases, clinical and/or project management planning and reporting systems.
