Associate Director Capital Markets

In this role, you will work on high-impact projects for our clients in the financial sector, both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Please note that business level Dutch is a requirement for this position.

About ST&A

Our Strategy Transformation and Architecture practice is specialized in designing and implementing solutions for business challenges in in the financial sector. The assignments can relate to topics such as system landscape renewal, redesign of data architecture, regulatory changes, process optimization, business integration and separation, location strategies.

Our consultants grow from all-round business analysts into business architects or SME’s in the financial sector. They work on diverse assignments as business analysis, process modelling, process and data analysis and product and project management.

Our team is internationally and culturally diverse and is the largest practice within Synechron Nederland.

About the role

As Associate Director, you play a crucial role in aligning our client’s strategic goals with its operational capabilities. You will serves as a bridge between business strategy and execution, ensuring that the organization’s structure, processes, and technologies support its objectives. Due to the nature of the work we do with our financial clients, you will combine business analysis, architecture and project management.

You should be able to:
 

• Collaborate with clients to define and assess their capital market strategies, identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement.

• Applying practical strategies to establish sustainable functions and operating models within financial markets.

• Demonstrate thorough abilities and a proven record of success in sales and trading, investment banking, and/or capital markets with experience in:

• Transformation initiatives spanning the front, middle, and back-office operations.

• Designing, executing, and/or engaging with technology platforms (e.g. Murex), data systems, and associated infrastructure.

• Implement comprehensive reporting solutions, ensuring they are robust and adaptable to evolving regulations and accounting standards.

• Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes, analyzing trends within global financial institutions providing thought leadership and insights to clients.

What You Bring:

• Excellent communication skills at business level in English and Dutch

• 10+ years of work experience in the financial services/Consulting industry with a focus on capital markets.

• Strong external executive presence with established access to high-level executive relationships.

• Proven track record of commercial success within a consulting environment.

• Adaptable, depending on the need of the client

• Target Operating Model (TOM) design experience

• Experienced in, or motivated to learn, setting up and leading projects

• Curiosity to learn new things and eager to continuously develop yourself

• Entrepeneurial mindset
