Job Description

The Associate, Business Development will support the Principal, Business Development for all issues relating to Business Development for the firm across Asia.  

Key Objectives and responsibilities

  • Identify potential projects and collaborate with the Principals on the preparation of submissions for competitions and awards as agreed with the CEO / Principals
  • Coordinate and prepare tender submissions including pre-qualifications, expression of interest and request for proposals
  • Responsible for submission coordination and preparation:
    • assist to design customised and client focused submissions
    • ensure compliance with briefs on submission structure
    • ensure compliance with in-house formatting & style standards
    • follow-up with sub-consultants for relevant information
  • Cross check Chinese-English translation work
  • Keep track of client and consultant contact database for each submission
  • Maintain and update the Company’s extensive electronic database of tender submissions and frequently-used key submission information
  • Ensure regular communication with current and past clients, in terms of entertainment, inclusion on newsletters, mail-outs, emails and all other promotional and marketing material
  • Research / identify and events business development opportunities
  • Perform all other duties as required with the nature of the role

  • Responsible for motivating team members and working with them to establish clear goals that are in line with company objectives
  • Identify areas of strength in team members and help them realise their maximum potential
  • Ensure smooth running, maximum performance and appropriate resourcing of the team
  1. General 
  • Support the continuous improvement of BD processes and practice within the region and across the group
  • Carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the role

Qualifications

Education and Training

  • Degree educated or relevant years of industry experience
  • Experience in the architectural industry is highly desirable
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages, database management and page layout

Experience

  • Proven relevant working experience in architectural sector
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of business development strategies and activities
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of business development strategies and activities
  • Proven track record of success in sourcing and converting opportunities to contract
  • Previous working experience and knowledge of the architectural industry is highly desirable

Skills Required
