QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in information systems/management or equivalent work experience, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and/or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred
3-4 years of experience in system administration
1-3 years preferred experience in DevOps implementation in large-scale enterprise environments
Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using agile practices.
Ability to contribute to the development, maintenance, and usage of deployment and task automation (OS, database services, virtual networks, or other platform services)
Understanding of Python, CloudFormation, CDK, and Code commit. Basic understanding of DevOps concepts within the AWS framework.
Experience designing and setting up CI/CD workflow and tools, such as AWS CodePipeline/CodeDeploy, Github, Jenkins, Bamboo, and/or TeamCity.
Familiarity with Bash and PowerShell scripting.
Strong Linux system administration experience
Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewall.
Familiarity with Ruby, Go Swift, Java, .Net, or C++. preferred
Familiarity with Terraform, Control Tower, Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible in production environments preferred.
Proficiency in developing and utilizing containers in a production environment (Fargate, ECS, Kubernetes, etc.) preferred.
Ability to work with third-party SaaS providers and third-party development partners on integration solutions
AWS DevOps Engineer professional certification required or equivalent work experience (with expectation of certification within 12-18 months of employment)
Excellent Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Strong Verbal and Written communication skills.
Work schedule to include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Support Build and Deployment processes using standard and “infrastructure as code” techniques
Design solutions to business requirements using the above skillset
Provide scripting and development support to improve current operational state of implementation
Build, Design, and Deploy infrastructure as code in AWS
Provide backup for system administration tasks and application administration as appropriate
Responsible for Day-to-Day Administration, Management, Monitoring, and System Lifecycle Management of AWS Full Stack of Infrastructure Solutions
Effectively creates and maintains relevant cloud systems documentation and user guides
Special projects or other duties as assigned.
