- Provide leadership for university-wide academic initiatives housed within Arts & Sciences;
- Support the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae and the University’s Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine identity;
- Teach regularly within his or her academic discipline.
Strong candidates will demonstrate a commitment to the advancement of Catholic higher education, possess sound prudential judgment, interpersonal maturity, and the ability to lead through collaboration and service. Candidates should have significant teaching experience in higher education, demonstrated potential or experience in academic leadership, and the ability to mentor faculty and work effectively across academic disciplines and university constituencies.
An earned doctorate or equivalent terminal degree in a humanities or related discipline represented within the School of Arts & Sciences is required. Previous experience in academic administration, institutional governance, program leadership, or related forms of academic service is strongly preferred.The University of Mary
