Applied scientist

Protegrity is looking for an applied scientist in the field of privacy enhancing technologies. You’ll work in a team of software engineers and machine learning practitioners in designing, building and maintaining applications within the context of data security and data privacy.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications.
• Contribute to continuous development, enhancement and maintenance of existing and new products/features.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
• Participating in agile practices of the team/organization as an individual contributor and as a team player.
• Research and develop new machine learning based solutions to advance the usability, security and privacy of data at scale.
• In the long-term, research and develop new solutions in the field of privacy enhancing technologies and data security.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of industry experience.
• Deep learning frameworks (preferably Keras and Pytorch) and machine learning algorithms and respective frameworks.
• Common data manipulation frameworks (Pandas, NumPy, etc.).
• Design and conduct experiments to further improve the performance of machine learning systems.
• Strong programming skills with fluency in Python.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD best practices.

Working Model:

• This role is available as a hybrid role. You will work out of your home and be in office 2-3 days a week to attend on-site meetings and working sessions based on business needs. In certain circumstances, the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
