About this role
Aladdin Data Solutions is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Aladdin's enterprise data and analytics capabilities for both BlackRock and Aladdin clients. Data sits at the heart of Aladdin, powering portfolio management, risk analytics, compliance, performance measurement, regulatory reporting, and investment operations.
The Data Implementation team partners with leading global asset managers, asset owners, and institutional investors to onboard and optimize investment data within the Aladdin platform. The team manages end-to-end data implementation across security master, benchmark, portfolio, market, and analytics data domains, ensuring clients realize the full value of Aladdin's investment technology ecosystem.
As an Associate, you will work directly with clients, business stakeholders, and technology partners to design, implement, and scale data solutions that support complex investment workflows across public and private markets.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Delivery & ImplementationLead data workstreams for new Aladdin implementations and platform expansions.
Partner with clients to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish implementation plans.
Drive successful execution of implementation milestones through proactive stakeholder management and project coordination.
Facilitate client workshops focused on data strategy, operating models, and Aladdin best practices.
Configure and onboard investment data from client sources and third-party vendors into the Aladdin platform.
Support the setup of portfolio structures, benchmark mappings, security master configurations, and analytics frameworks.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Analyze complex investment datasets and develop solutions to address client-specific business requirements.
Collaborate with investment professionals, operations teams, engineers, data stewards, and product partners across global teams.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on Aladdin data standards, workflows, and operating models.
Partner with Analytics and Data Stewardship teams to validate valuation, performance, and risk analytics outputs.
Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and functional specifications.
Contribute to enhancements of Aladdin Data products, implementation playbooks, and operational processes.
Leverage technology and automation tools to improve implementation efficiency and client outcomes.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production readiness activities.
Develop client-facing implementation documentation and operating procedures.
Partner with production support and operations teams to ensure smooth transition of clients into BAU support models.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in investment data management, financial technology, implementation consulting, investment operations, or data analytics.
Strong understanding of investment products including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and multi-asset portfolios.
Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis and reconciliation.
Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and clients.
Experience with investment management platforms, market data, risk analytics, or portfolio management systems.
Working knowledge of Python and SQL.
Exposure to data integration, ETL processes, and data governance practices.
Familiarity with private markets, alternative investments, or derivatives data.
Knowledge of UNIX, Java, Perl, or similar technologies is advantageous.
