Role Overview 

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will drive insights, support data-driven decision-making across key business areas, and collaborate with stakeholders in Payments, Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), Tax-Free, and Hospitality sectors. You will be instrumental in transforming large-scale datasets into meaningful business recommendations and automated processes, while also contributing to the broader BI strategy. 

As part of the BI Analytics team, you’ll work alongside data engineers to ensure scalable ETL processes but maintain a primary focus on analytics. This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously on end-to-end projects, from gathering requirements to delivering impactful solutions using PowerBI, SQL, and other tools. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to mentor and teach others within the team, contributing to the growth of the BI Analytics function. 

What you will do 

• Analyze and Generate Insights: 

• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in large datasets to drive actionable insights for business stakeholders in Payments, DCC, Tax-Free, and Hospitality. 

• Design, build, and maintain advanced dashboards in PowerBI that are scalable and provide clear insights to support decision-making across the organization. 

• Promote process automation and optimization through BI tools to streamline reporting and analytics. 

• End-to-End Project Management: 

• Lead projects independently from ideation to implementation, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver solutions that drive business value. 

• Act as a translator between technical teams (Data Engineering, etc.) and business stakeholders, ensuring requirements are well understood and implemented accordingly. 

• Collaboration & Teamwork: 

• Collaborate closely with all areas of the business to understand their analytical needs and translate them into data-driven solutions. 

• Collaborate with data engineering to ensure efficient ETL pipelines and data governance practices, contributing to scalable, reliable data models. 

• Stay updated on new tools, methodologies, and best practices in BI and analytics, encouraging innovation within the team. 

Who you are

• PowerBI: Advanced expertise in PowerBI is essential, including experience with DAX, building automated reports, and creating complex, data-driven dashboards. 

• SQL: Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience working with large datasets in a cloud-based environment (Snowflake). 

• Data Modelling: Experience with data modelling and data pipeline processes (using dbt or equivalent). 

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Azure as a plus). 

• ETL: Basic knowledge of ETL processes and experience working with data engineers to contribute to scalable solutions. Familiarity with DBT and GitHub for managing code and version control. 

Nice to Have: 

• Azure: Experience with Azure cloud services. 

• Python: Ability to automate data tasks and processes using Python (not mandatory but beneficial). 

• Data Governance: Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
