The Associate Credit Analyst will underwrite AgFirst participation transactions for new and existing borrowers. Analyzes loan actions originated by District Associations that require AgFirst prior approval. Provides support to Capital Markets Officers with credit administration of the AgFirst loan portfolio, including analysis of loan servicing actions, periodic risk rating reviews, etc. Responsible for presenting analyzed transactions to the Bank’s Committees (L/C, SAM Committee, and ECC).
In partnership with the Relationship Managers and Capital Markets Officers, performs annual and interim Association and OFI assessments.
What you will do:
- Conducts analysis of less complex potential and existing AgFirst participation portfolio loans.
- Performs review and analysis of Association loan actions requiring AgFirst’s prior approval. Analyzes loan servicing actions and conducts periodic risk rating reviews.
- Performs annual and interim Association and OFI assessments. Prepares management and Board reports; completes industry analyses and their presentations; completes counterparty analyses, post approval of investments and borrower status reports.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is required.
- 1 – 3 years of prior experience in credit analysis or credit administration.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage time independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial analysis tools
