Role summary
We are seeking a strong finance resource to provide backfill support for core business-as-usual controllership activities. This role will work closely with Finance Leaders to ensure timely execution of recurring finance processes, support month-end close and reporting requirements, and help maintain a strong control environment across assigned markets or entities.
The ideal candidate will bring sound accounting knowledge, strong execution discipline, and the ability to manage recurring deliverables independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Support day-to-day BAU controllership activities across assigned markets, entities, or processes
Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules
Review balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on open or aged items
Support P&L reviews and variance analysis for key accounts and cost lines
Coordinate with business finance, shared services, tax, treasury, procurement, and other stakeholders to resolve finance and accounting issues
Support recurring reporting requirements, including close packs, dashboards, and other management reporting
Help maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements
Support statutory, tax, audit, and compliance related deliverables by preparing schedules, documentation, and analysis
Track open actions and ensure timely closure of identified issues
Support manual processes, ad hoc accounting entries, and documentation requirements as needed
Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce manual effort
Provide general finance operational support to ensure continuity of BAU activities during the backfill period
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
Total experience 5+ years with 3+ relevant in accounting, controllership, finance operations, or shared services
Good understanding of close activities, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial controls
Experience working with ERP systems and strong proficiency in Excel
Experience in S4 Hana implementation will be a big advantage
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Good communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across functions and geographies
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment
Experience in a multinational, shared services, or controllership environment is preferred
Professional qualification or progress toward one would be an advantage
