About the Job
- Full ownership of development and maintenance of smaller client accounts, with specific accountability on larger accounts
- Total competency and responsibility for research design, planning and analysis
- Leadership responsibility - line management, team and cross-team responsibility
Job Goals:
Development of Client relationships:
• Proactively lead client relationship
• Act as a consultant to clients, developing new business from existing clients
• Thorough understanding of client business and market
• Utilize proprietary business solutions to realize the maximum advantage
Financial management:
• Accountable for achievement of annual GM and profit results
• Strong proficiency in pricing for success and profit
• Monitor project costs and complete within budget
Proposal process:
Recognise opportunities to generate requests for proposals, maximising if possible
• Accountable for overall integrity of proposal/pitch for specific clients
• Creative design to budget, while maximising opportunities to sell and cross sell
• Demonstrate research & marketing expertise to inspire clients and team
Project management:
• Proactively work with team and suppliers for process improvement /cost savings while retaining quality
• Plan resource and anticipate challenges to ensure smooth running projects
• Responsible for the negotiations with client, escalating where appropriate
• Responsible for ensuring materials meet client business needs
• Act as consultant to resolve issues
Analysis/reporting:
• Ensure client deliverables meet expectations and needs; deliver excellence
• Constant delivery of strong consumer insights to clients
• Direct the team’s efforts in the most effective use of analytic processes and research methodologies to address clients’ business issues
Leadership, team and people management:
• Ensure direct reports have objectives & development plans to support company strategy
• Demonstrate excellence in technical and marketing expertise to inspire both clients and team members
• Recruit, develop, and retain high quality people through succession planning and performance management
Communication:
• Deliver clear and accurate reports, presentations and proposals
• Facilitate consultation with key stakeholders
• Actively listen and communicate openly with clients and internal teams
Ideal Skills and Capabilities:
• At least 12 years experience in Market Research, either agency or client side
• High level of business/client understanding and insight
• Strong knowledge of marketing, research and the Company solution offer
Skills:
• Confident sales/ negotiation/ persuasion skills
• Clear, fair decision making ability
• Proven ability as a team manager/leader
• Team building across departments and with suppliers
• Able to create and deliver presentations independently in English
• Proven ability in analytical skill with comfort level in dealing with and understanding large quantitative data sets

Skills Required
