Description
Job Purpose:
As an associate consultant with Corporate Planning and Strategic Services (CPSS), you will support a diverse mix of internal customer projects as a member of a team of very capable colleagues. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate and develop competency with a variety of business consulting and facilitation skills while managing specific components of projects and providing project leadership. You will partner with business areas across the organization to achieve more success by helping them anticipate needs, create strategies, overcome challenges and advance and deliver sustainable opportunities.
Location:
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday in a typical office environment and will be onsite at 105 New Way Road in Columbia, SC. Travel to local customer office/location.
Required Education:
- A Bachelor's degree OR
- 4 years of job-related work experience OR
- An Associate's degree AND 2 years of job-related work experience.

Required Training:
- PAHM certification within one year of hire date.
We Prefer You to Have:
- 4 years of job-related work experience in consulting (e.g. organizational development, business analysis), process improvement (e.g. six sigma, reengineering), corporate/strategic planning, financial analysis, business systems analysis, business development, market/industry research or management of a business operation.
- Improvement and Innovation Skills: Use a consultative mindset to understand current challenges/opportunities across various functions and offer solutions and insights that drive key business decisions and project delivery efforts.
- Effective Communication Skills: Ability to utilize effective visual communication and storytelling techniques to influence and convey critical business insights.
- Influencing and Collaboration Experience: Proven capabilities to proactively partner with individuals/teams to win support and champion ideas from ideation to execution, as well as displaying qualities of a leader, that engage, inspire, align, and move people to act.
- Business Learning and Development: Experience developing and facilitating business learning solutions for individuals and teams, either in support of a project or as a stand-alone solution.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
