National Interstate Insurance is looking for an Associate Compliance Analyst, part of our Graduate Development Program, to join their team. This individual will work a hybrid schedule out of the Richfield, Ohio office.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Assists with the administration of Compliance programs and in ensuring compliance with the laws, regulations, and rules of federal, state, and self-regulatory organizations.
- Assists in preparing and filing regulatory and compliance documents and/or reports and administering and enforcing company compliance guidelines.
- Responsible for reporting any non-compliance or suspected fraudulent acts, working with external agents to ensure proper documentation is provided, allocations and improving the commission process, background check responsibilities for all new agents and communication with business units on any concerns.
- Work with internal information services to ensure required data is captured and maintained.
- Responsible for working with accounting to ensure proper commission
- Assists in receiving, analyzing, and responding to regulatory matters and/or inquiries from the various state departments of insurance, federal agencies, self-regulatory organizations, industry associations, and/or internal and external customers. Refers more complex matters to appropriate staff, as needed.
- Assists in coordinating, administering, and reporting on audit/review processes as well as maintaining and retrieving material from departmental databases and files. May assist in performing research and provide back-up coverage for other compliance areas.
- Builds working relationships within state insurance departments and/or other regulatory authorities. Acts as a liaison between the organization, specific departments/business units, third party vendors, and regulatory authorities.
- Builds working knowledge of the organization, regulatory agencies, and current trends in ensuring compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The program is taking place in June 2025. The role will be expected to work in the Richfield, Ohio office.
Job Requirements
Education: Associate Degree or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Field of Study: Business, Liberal Arts, or related discipline.
Experience: Generally, 0 to 2 years of insurance/securities related experience. May begin coursework toward an Associate Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC) designation.
