Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Assist in setting up and maintaining AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC.
    • Perform basic monitoring of cloud resources using tools like AWS CloudWatch.
    • Support cloud backup and disaster recovery processes.
  • Incident Response:
    • Participate in initial incident response for issues in the AWS environment.
    • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Help document cloud setups and configurations.
    • Prepare reports on cloud resource utilization and incident logs.
  • Linux System Maintenance:
    • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers.
    • Monitor system performance and report any issues.
    • Apply basic security patches and updates under supervision.
  • User and Access Management:
    • Help manage user accounts and access rights on Linux systems.
  • Backup and Recovery:
    • Support backup operations and participate in recovery drills.
  • Application Support:
    • Assist in deploying and managing web applications on Linux servers.
    • Perform basic monitoring of web application performance and uptime.
    • Support the updating and patching of web applications.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams:
    • Work with development teams to understand application requirements and assist in deployment strategies.
Key Skill Requirements:
  • Foundational Knowledge: Total 1-3 yrs of total exp and good understanding of AWS cloud services, Linux system administration, and web application architecture.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 work environment.
  • Weekly off will be either Friday-Saturday or Sunday- Monday or Saturday- Sunday depending on the shift timing and business requirements.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve entry-level technical issues.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication skills for working with team members and documenting processes.
  • Learning and Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and grow in the fields of cloud operations, Linux administration, and web application management.
  • Attention to Detail: Careful attention to detail in monitoring systems and reporting issues.
Professional Development:
  • Training and Certification: Pursue relevant training and certifications, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Linux certifications (e.g., CompTIA Linux+), and others relevant to web application administration.
  • Mentorship and Feedback: Seek feedback and mentorship from senior team members to improve skills and knowledge.
