Position Summary:

The consultant will provide necessary GIS and geodetic engineering technical support for land acquisition related-activities, engineering (technical/construction), surveys, permitting, and other project development activities​.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Processing and GIS-related activities

  • Prepare detailed supporting GIS files, maps, databases and trackers to be used for land acquisition, engineering, permitting, compliance and other project development activities;

  • Prepare comprehensive geodatabase of land information extracted from land documents and georeferenced maps

  • Coordinate with Land Acquisition team, maintain tracker for LA acquisition activities and documentations​, and prepare update of acquisition status weekly via the land database;

  • Assist in managing, organizing and tracking of all land related documentations including map references (Hard and soft copies);

  • Undertake necessary analyses and interpretations of data gathered as support for decision making of LA, technical, construction, and BD;

  • Participates in planning sessions of GIS, LA, and Business Development Teams;

  • Maintain a database of all project related files (versions of civil designs and project components, GIS analyses, LA related documentations, maps, data reference, etc.);

Surveying engagements and ground verification

  • Assist and report to the Lead for Survey Engagements in the management of all surveying and related activities of the company which includes but not limited to the following:

  • Facilitate of tendering process of all surveying and related activities;

  • Negotiation with potential service provider and closing of project contracts;

  • Submit comparative analysis of contract proposal with recommendation, implementing plan, and total required budget for the survey activities;

  • Ensure completeness of pre-boarding requirements of the service provider and conduct proper coordination with relevant departments of the company, including external parties, for the onboarding, actual survey, closing of survey project, and other related activities;

  • Assist in the review of survey deliverables, conduct ground validation, and coordinate with service provider for necessary revision/correction;

  • Assists in field surveys and site inspections when necessary;

  • Monitor of payment process with LA team and finance and ensure timely release of payments and complete of relative documents.

Permitting

  • Assist the LA team in the preparation of applications LA-related permits which include but not limited to CAAP Height Clearance Permit (HCP), Tree Cutting Permit (TCP), Coconut Cutting Permit (CCP), (Special Land Use Permit (SLUP), Forest Land Use Agreement (FLAg), and Special Use Agreement in Protected Areas (SAPA), Reclassification, and Land Conversion;

  • Coordinate with DENR (PENRO, CENRO, Regional Office), PCA, DAR, CAAP, LGU, and other relevant offices for the submission and assessment of the application packages;

  • Conduct coordination with other departments (project development and technical teams) for the securement of requirements for the permit application;

  • If required for the land permit, conduct necessary data processing in to generate requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned

Prerequisites:

  • Degree in Geography, Geodetic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven work experience as a GIS Consultant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of GIS principles and practices
  • Experience with GIS software
  • Proficiency in data analysis and spatial analysis
