- Under limited supervision, the Associate Brand Marketing Manager will be responsible for assisting in the development of Interstate Batteries brand marketing strategy. This individual will be tasked with heavy cross-functional work to drive cross-functional teams to accomplish organizational initiatives. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability manage & drive multiple projects forward at one time as well as manage ongoing tasks such as budget management, creative requests, & development of regular performance updates reports.
- Manage ongoing, rotating project work to push key organizational/marketing initiatives forward
- Generates regular standard reporting & marketing updates to be distributed to the organization on current performance and initiatives.
- Complete monthly competitive & market assessments to identify sales opportunities in the market
- Partner with Brand Manager to develop annual marketing plan in collaboration with external agencies, cross-functional peers, and sales leaders to support organizational growth objectives and grow share.
- Manage budget effectively to within +/-3% of AOP forecast
- Oversee development of all consumer-facing Interstate content including, but not limited to, digital advertising, social media, point-of-purchase, & B2B sales materials
- Serve as first-point-of-contact for distributor marketing questions
- Possesses a thorough understanding of all aspects of Interstate’s business model in order to make decisions with an enterprise mindset.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred
- 2+ years of Brand marketing or similar experience required
- Extremely strong collaboration skills
- Passion to tackle new challenges head on with minimal direction
- Self-motivated and possess the ability to partner and collaborate across teams, functions, business units, and agencies
- Budget management experience required
- Strong Excel and analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Strong presentation building skills in PowerPoint
- Current with the latest trends and best practices in Brand marketing tactics
- Ability to lead with influence, not authority
- Ability to travel in accordance with business demands
- Regular alignment meetings with Sales/Ops peer teams.
- Collaboration with internal and external creative teams
- Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
- Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 20+ lbs.
- Prolonged use of personal computer & telephone.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
