Job Overview:
Our Associate Analyst in Security Master and Pricing is a team expert responsible for providing unparalleled customer support for LPL’s mutual fund trade data and pricing. The reporting includes advisor/client reporting, firm-level financial reporting and risk reporting. Utilizing various tools and data sources, the Associate Analyst will be responsible for analyzing sponsor provided documentation such as the prospectus, translating and updating the trading database UI with the correct data and reviewing the quality of all mutual fund data inputs for accuracy and timeliness. The Associate Analyst understands investment products and specializes in mutual funds and alternative investments. The Associate Analyst is knowledgeable in transactions, securities, pricing, reconciling and account valuation with the use of various systems including Datascope, BETA, BSTS, PDD, Excel and other internal supporting applications. The right candidate is curious, meticulous, and inspired to learn. The right candidate should also feel comfortable interfacing both internally and externally with cross-functional work groups such as Operations, Product Management, Trading and Risk Management. This role requires the ability to feel comfortable working in an agile environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Run and Review QC Reports
- Become a subject matter expert in Security Master and Pricing
- Manages monthly quality controls.
- Data flow management and quality control to ensure all investment data is processed into downstream systems.
- Work effectively and efficiently with other business units (internal and external) to resolve investment data related issues.
- Troubleshoot reconciliation and performance issues reported by advisors.
- Gather metrics and create reports to support trend analysis and RPMs.
- Assist with projects to develop both client facing and internal applications.
- Update and maintain department procedures.
- Collaborate with team-members on multiple and possibly overlapping customer requests.
- Support customers by fielding escalations and providing explanations.
- Review and validate industry announcements and resolve any resulting discrepancies.
Collaborate effectively and efficiently with other business units to correct recurring issues.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 1-3 years in the brokerage or financial services industry with transaction accounting and reconciliation experience
Core Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Knowledgeable of a wide range of financial investment vehicles including but not limited to Mutual Funds, Fixed Income Products, Options, Common Stocks and Variable Annuities.
- Advanced skills with Excel and Access and the ability to use these tools to assist with reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of time and money weighted performance calculations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills
Preferences:
- SIE
- Series 7 or 99
- SQL development and data mining experience
- Bachelor’s degree

Pay Range:
$20.23-$33.71/hour
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
