To support the implementation of the Bank’s Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) framework by coordinating governance activities, maintaining governance artefacts, and assisting in the review of metadata and data lifecycle changes. This role contributes to the centralised governance function by ensuring operational compliance with established standards and facilitating consistent data management practices across departments.
Responsibilities- Support the Promotion of Enterprise Data Governance Bank-wide
- Assist in the coordination of activities to promote the Bank’s Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) framework.
- Support the development and dissemination of communication materials to raise awareness of data governance policies and tools.
- Provide operational support in organising engagements and briefings with internal stakeholders on governance practices.
- Conduct research and compile findings on data governance trends and practices to support policy refinement.
- Facilitate Compliance and Centralised Governance Tools
- Maintain and update governance artefacts such as metadata entries, code lists, and data catalogue records in accordance with EDG standards.
- Assist in the review process for metadata and data modelling submissions, ensuring completeness and alignment with guidelines.
- Support the assessment of data lifecycle changes by compiling requests and liaising with relevant Data Owners.
- Coordinate documentation and follow-ups for governance committees (e.g. SISCO, DWG), including meeting logistics and records.
- Provide administrative support in responding to departmental queries on data governance procedures and requirements.
- Operational Support on Data Governance Process
- Ensure timely response to ad hoc/one-off data requests, enquiry and dissemination requests from stakeholders.
- Manage, assess and coordinate ad hoc/one-off data requests, enquiry and dissemination requested from internal and external stakeholders in accordance with EDG.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure that data needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Organise and lead meetings to gather input and feedback on data needs from various teams.
- Ensure requirements regarding data access being updated and compliance with access control procedures.
- Academic Qualifications: Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Econometrics or equivalent. Master’s degree or professional qualification in relevant fields will be an added advantage
- Experience: Working experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, preferably within a statistics or data-intensive environment is an added advantage.
