Reporting into the AI Transformation Office, the Associate, AI Enablement & Adoption is a highly approachable, people-centric guide dedicated to accelerating AI fluency across our corporate office. Operating as a hybrid between a hands-on coach and an adoption advocate, you will empower employees to confidently integrate enterprise AI tools — specifically Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Claude — into their daily work.

This role is important because you are the visible, go-to resource on the floor: providing on-demand support, lightweight training, and immediate troubleshooting so our teams can maximize their productivity securely, effectively, and without frustration. If you love helping people, are genuinely curious about generative AI, and can translate technical concepts into plain language for any audience, this is an excellent opportunity to shape how our organization works in the age of AI.

You Will Be Responsible For

On-Demand Coaching & Support

  • Act as the visible, go-to AI resource in the office, approachable to employees at every level of comfort and skill.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group troubleshooting, prompt refinement, and immediate assistance for employees who are stuck or unsure how to get started with AI tools.

Training & Enablement

  • Develop and deliver lightweight micro-training and practical “how-to” resources that demonstrate effective, real-world ways to use AI for everyday tasks.

Adoption Advocacy

  • Monitor tool usage and recommend targeted actions to drive uptake across teams.
  • Collect employee feedback, success stories, and use-case examples to inform and refine adoption tactics.

Task-Level Integration

  • Help individuals apply AI directly to the work in front of them — e.g., drafting emails, summarizing meetings, and generating ideas — without the need for large-scale, formal business process mapping.

Responsible AI Guidance

  • Educate employees on OMERS AI governance policies, ensuring data privacy, risk mitigation, and safe guardrails are followed during daily AI use.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong practical familiarity with generative AI tools — specifically Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Claude — including prompt engineering basics and a clear understanding of their corporate capabilities and limitations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical AI concepts into accessible, actionable advice for non-technical employees.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and patience to guide employees with varying levels of comfort and skill with AI tools.
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated curiosity for understanding user needs and finding solutions.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • University degree in Business, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a technology-driven role (e.g., corporate support, training, IT helpdesk, technology adoption, or related experience).
  • Strong familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exposure to change management, employee enablement, or technology adoption programs in a corporate environment.

  • Strong organization, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with curiosity for user needs
  • University degree in Business, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent

OMERS Compensation & Benefits Highlights

The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about OMERS and has not been reviewed or approved by OMERS.

  • Retirement Support Retirement benefits are positioned as a standout part of total rewards, anchored by a defined benefit pension that provides predictable lifetime income and includes survivor, disability, bridge, and inflation-protection features. The plan is often treated as materially more valuable than typical RRSP matching, despite requiring employee contributions.
  • Fair & Transparent Compensation Compensation is frequently characterized as fair or well-paid in certain roles, and the overall package is sometimes framed as “excellent compensation” when pay and benefits are considered together. Pay competitiveness appears strongest in investment-focused groups and in higher-cost markets.
  • Wellbeing & Lifestyle Benefits Non-pension benefits are described as strong in areas like wellness and mental health support, alongside lifestyle allowances and paid-time-off features. These elements add perceived value beyond base salary and bonus.
