BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina seeks an Associate Actuary for its Columbia, SC location.

What You’ll Do:

Compiles actuarial reports. Performs analysis and determination of risk levels and rates. Reviews rating bureau changes. Prepares rate filings. Determines bulk loss and loss expense reserves for reported/unreported liabilities. Reviews various methodologies used to promulgate reserves.

To Qualify For This Position, You'll Need The Following:

Required Education:

·        Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or Economics; foreign equivalent accepted.

·        Must have attained one of the following: FCAS, ASA, or ACAS designation.

We Prefer That You Have The Following:

Work experience:

·        12 months experience as an Actuary
