Job Title
The Cloud Frameworks and Communications (CFC) department is part of Technology Security Infrastructure & Agility (TSI) and plays a key role in providing foundational services for Amadeus products. Within CFC, Amadeus Business Rules (ABR) is a mission‑critical middleware used by many internal and customer-facing applications to manage business configurations and decision logic in a declarative, scalable way.
ABR enables products to evolve without code changes by allowing business rules to be defined and managed through user-friendly interfaces, supporting both generic and exception-based behaviors at scale.
Summary of the role:You will lead a growing Bogotá-based engineering team contributing to the evolution and cloud transformation of the Amadeus Business Rules (ABR) platform. Combining people leadership and technical depth, you will help scale a new development hub while ensuring delivery, quality, and operational excellence for a mission‑critical product.
In this role you’ll:- Lead and develop a cross-functional team of software engineers, product definition analysts, and quality engineers, fostering engagement, accountability, and continuous growth
- Be accountable for the delivery, quality, and operational stability of ABR components owned by the Bogotá team
- Translate department and product strategy into a clear team roadmap, objectives, and execution plans
- Drive technical excellence by collaborating closely with architecture, QA, DevOps, and remote teams (Nice, Erding, Bangalore)
- Support the migration of ABR to the public cloud and contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, and operational best practices
- Ensure effective communication, transparency, and alignment within the team and with key stakeholders

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent work experience
- Good English communication skills
- Experience designing and developing backend systems using C++ or Java
- Solid experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle, and strong SQL knowledge
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins)
- Exposure to cloud technologies (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Azure)
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience in production support and operational environments
- First-line management or strong technical leadership experience with coaching responsibilities
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across functions and geographies
