The Stretch Therapist is responsible for delivering guided, non-therapeutic assisted stretching services focused on improving mobility, flexibility, and overall movement quality. This role supports members through coached stretch sessions while operating strictly within a fitness- and wellness-based scope.


This position does not provide massage therapy, physical therapy, medical treatment, or injury rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality assisted stretch services:

  • Deliver assisted stretch sessions in accordance with company-approved protocols and sequencing
  • Perform active and passive stretches designed to support flexibility, mobility, and range of motion
  • Use appropriate body mechanics, positioning, and pressure to ensure client safety and comfort
  • Continuously assess client feedback, movement tolerance, and comfort levels throughout each session
  • Modify stretches within approved guidelines to accommodate individual mobility levels and limitations
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and supportive presence during all sessions
  • Ensure the treatment area is prepared, clean, and set up according to brand standards before and after sessions

Educate clients regarding services, visit frequency, and at-home care:

  • Clearly explain the purpose and benefits of assisted stretching using non-therapeutic, wellness-focused language
  • Set appropriate expectations regarding outcomes, emphasizing mobility support rather than pain or injury treatment
  • Provide guidance on recommended visit frequency based on general wellness goals and program structure
  • Educate clients on simple, safe at-home stretches or movement practices aligned with session goals
  • Reinforce the value of consistency and long-term mobility care without making medical or clinical claims
  • Answer client questions confidently while staying within defined scope-of-practice boundaries
  • Refer clients to licensed healthcare professionals when questions or concerns fall outside scope

Communicate professionally with clients and team members:

  • Establish rapport with clients through clear, respectful, and empathetic communication
  • Obtain ongoing verbal consent and encourage open feedback during hands-on sessions
  • Document sessions accurately and consistently using approved, non-clinical documentation standards
  • Communicate scheduling needs, client feedback, and operational updates with team members as needed
  • Collaborate with leadership and peers to ensure consistent service delivery and client experience
  • Uphold brand standards in all verbal, written, and digital communications
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Complete other tasks and projects as assigned by studio leadership.

Qualifications
  • One or more of the following certifications: 
    • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ISSA, or equivalent)
    • Degree or coursework in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field
    • Athletic Trainer (AT/ATC)
    • Yoga or Pilates instructor certification
  • Background in movement coaching, fitness, or athletics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort working hands-on with clients in a professional setting
  • Ability to follow structured protocols and safety guidelines
  • Completion of company-approved Assisted Stretch Training Program required
  • Ongoing education and recertification as defined by brand standards
  • Training does not confer licensure or authorization to practice regulated healthcare services
  • Experience with customer service in the wellness industry. 
  • Experience in educating or providing service and homecare recommendations.
  • A proven track record for gaining repeat business is a plus..

Skills Required
