We are seeking a talented individual to join our Insurer Consulting Group team at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Marsh's Insurer Consulting Group (ICG) provides services to insurance carriers. The team aims to provide the insurance market with tools and services designed to assist them in identifying new opportunities, to improve their product offerings and to increase their operational efficiency. This position is for productive professionals who have a background and experience in delivering consulting solutions in insurance industry. The role sits across consulting and carrier management practice, with a strong level of autonomy, requiring the individual to work independently with minimal supervision in both areas. This role will have key responsibilities for identifying project opportunities, managing project frameworks, identifying the right data internally and externally, and delivering the final findings to clients. The role objectives include achieving ongoing annual targets in bespoke consulting, supporting carrier management governance, as well as delivery of insights and consulting projects.
We Will Count on You:
- Build and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with executive management at strategic carriers in the Asia.
- Contribute to the growth of bespoke consulting offerings by being a part of new opportunity identification, understanding insurer’s requirements, and scoping projects by matching insurer needs with Marsh capabilities.
- Take full ownership of projects delivery from conceptualization to reporting stage by combining strategic solutions with tactical execution plans to deliver actionable insights to insurers.
- Participating in Carrier Management activities by supporting the team in monthly governance meetings, driving key stakeholder engagement, and delivery of data and insights to insurer partners.
- Actively engage with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure their strategies & priorities are understood and accurately represented.
- Own the knowledge management function in ICG Asia to ensure we can deliver faster and effective outputs by utilizing and adding to our knowledge directory.
- Deliver Thought Leadership that combines macro trends and insurance data and Marsh’s commercial insurance expertise to provide market leading insights to our colleagues and clients.
- In conjunction with the Asia team, set and achieve annual revenue budget for the commercial insurance sector.
- Address escalated issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner, help manage expectations, mitigate relationship risks, and apply judgement as to when to escalate major issues to colleagues while ensuring compliance.
- Contribute to and promote ICG’s and MMC external image, expand professional networks and support strategic partners through press, articles/papers and external presentations.
What You Need to Have
- Degree holder with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the insurance insights and consulting industry in Asia
- Ability to break down complex problems in simple solutions by leveraging prior consulting experience
- Effective delivery skills with attention to detail and high-quality report generation to bring our insights that and influence outcomes.
- Good commercial acumen with demonstrated capabilities to manage and grow a book of business.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills, comfortable dealing with stakeholders to C- level.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in the prioritization of competing work assignments, escalation of issues.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and change priorities.
