Assistant Vice President – Programme Management (Corporate Responsibility)
Job Purpose
Assist in driving alignment and deliverables for Corporate Responsibility within CIMB, including: (1) leading the impact measurement strategy across CR and CIMB Foundation programmes; (2) managing CR and CIMB Foundation portfolios of programmes and projects where relevant; (3) employee volunteerism management; and (4) supporting the coordination of Group CR spending for reporting purposes where relevant.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilise Group resources to support Corporate Responsibility, including monitoring performance management, KPI alignment, and operating expenditure, as well as the adoption and disbursement of annual budgets where relevant.
- Assist in executing CR business strategies and plans aligned to the company's Forward30 vision, and help drive strategic focus areas and partnership opportunities.
- Design and lead the implementation of impact measurement and evaluation frameworks, including developing logic models, KPIs, and data tools to assess programme effectiveness and strategic alignment across CR, employee volunteerism, and CIMB Foundation.
- Lead the design, learning and development function — identifying, co-developing, and evaluating programmes with partner organisations, including setting aspirational goals, milestones, and impact measures.
- Oversee the implementation and reporting function — developing budgets, ensuring timely approvals, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring strong programme and project governance.
- Prepare quarterly and annual reporting inputs on CR spending, scope, and impact for financial, sustainability, regulatory, management, board, and public relations purposes.
- Manage and disburse CIMB Foundation and CIMB Group funds towards identified programme and CR goals, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial, risk, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive employee engagement and volunteerism, and raise awareness of CIMB's CR efforts among employees, management, regulators, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Report on the progress of CIMB Foundation to the CEO and Board of Trustees, and undertake other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Basic degree.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken) is required.
- Travel within Malaysia is required for this role.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to advocate persuasively on behalf of Corporate Responsibility.
- Advanced writing skills to develop strategic, data-informed narratives and reports that communicate impact to stakeholders, donors, and senior leadership.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and divisions.
- Basic computer literacy for managing projects.
- Able to follow up effectively on assigned projects and take a holistic view to recommend action plans.
- Proven track record of communicating internally (employees, departments, management) and externally (partners, industry counterparts, regulators, communities, and beneficiaries).
- Proven track record of working independently, creatively, and resiliently.
