Description
The AVP, Deposit Operations role is responsible to oversee for the day-to-day workflow and team to ensure accurate, efficient and excellent processing and service by the Deposit Operations team.
This role includes the responsibility to work one Saturday per month.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of deposit operations including service, operational procedure, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Lead a team of individual contributors, including performance management, coaching, development, and corrective action.
- Responsible for recommending, planning and implementation of quality control and process improvements.
- Conduct necessary data collection and generate comprehensive reports to monitor team performance and to share data with senior leadership and directors.
- Develop and monitor the accuracy of your data using a scorecard and risk assessment.
- Participate in interviews for open Deposit Operations roles.
- Develop annual goals for the team and individual performance objectives for the team. Coach, monitor and develop team members through the year toward meeting defined objectives.
- Conduct team meetings, support/facilitate product training, resolve escalated issues, assume responsibility for seeking solutions, maintain effective communication and engage leaders and partners as needed to keep advised of all current and potential problems and initiatives.
- Be the subject matter expert on Bank projects that involve Deposit Operations.
- Ensure effective training and onboarding for new hires.
- Ensure regulatory requirements including those specified in The Savings Bank policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Liaison with other department management to maintain effective processes, communication, and teamwork. Partner with functional leaders across the Bank to build and enhance connection points between teams to ensure efficient and accurate service for customers.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of retail banking operations and compliance
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally at both written and verbal levels.
- Ability to learn and adapt to bank and regulatory changes.
- Exhibit and maintain high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to identify risk factors that impact team process and procedures and make recommendations to address.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
Education and Experience
- 3-5-years banking experience required.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office, or equivalent, knowledge.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
