The Role
Lead financial planning and performance management for consumer products in Malaysia. Drive budgeting, forecasting, IFRS9 and RWA assessments, pricing and product profitability analysis. Monitor monthly results, provide insights for business reviews, support senior product heads, collaborate with Group Finance/Risk/Strategy, and ensure regulatory and policy compliance while building and sharing technical and business knowledge.

Strategy and Planning
- Work closely with product heads on budget planning to ensure forecasts and projections are realistic specifically in areas related to Loan Loss Provisioning and RWA.
- Assess and review areas of risk and opportunity for Malaysia specifically in areas related to IFRS9 and RWA.
- Facilitate and provide strategic analysis with regards to financial decisions on pricing, product profitability, and evaluations for investment in new products, channels and segments
Business Performance Management
- Prepare value added financial performance analysis with insights and identify areas of risk and opportunity for Malaysia
- Monitor and analyse monthly business performance against budget and benchmarking against industry and competitors
- Present financial performance and financials insights for business reviews
People Management & Collaboration
- Support senior product heads to address financial / business related issues
- Close collaboration with peers from Group Finance, Group Risk, Group Strategy and other support units to optimise financial outcomes
- Internal Teamwork – tight coordination required to deliver financial reports, analysis, product and campaign reviews, as well as projects involving CBPA
- Knowledge Sharing/Building – impart technical and business knowledge within and outside CBPA
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures compliance to regulatory requirements, Bank and Group policies and procedures.
Skills Required
- Expertise in IFRS9 accounting standards and application
- Knowledge of Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) calculations and implications
- Experience in budget planning, forecasting, and loan loss provisioning
- Ability to prepare financial performance analysis and present insights
- Collaboration experience with Group Finance, Group Risk, and Group Strategy
- Experience supporting senior product heads and managing internal teamwork
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and bank/group policies
