Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports Allen Harim’s mission, vision and values
  • Be able to communicate with other associates at all levels, have a good attendance record, 
  • Reporting team member performance records to the Management team
  • Ensuring the department is in compliance with GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and USDA standards
  • Must assist in the training of all associates
  • Ensure team members properly wear PPE, and that they understand safety procedures. 
  • Set daily objectives and communicate them to their team. 
  • Will be responsible for paperwork relating to the department
  • Supervise cleanup work performed during breaks such as lunch, and in between shifts to meet USDA and state requirements
  • Must be able to act as Supervisor when needed
  • Saturdays to be expected
  • All other related duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma with at least four years of poultry experience
  • Knowledge of Poultry Plant or Food production 

Knowledge/Skills

  • PC skills required (MS Office)
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills preferred. 
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Excellent Communications skills as frequent communication is required with management and staff. 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner that is consistent with the essential job functions. 

Supervisory Responsibilities

List the supervisory responsibilities the position must perform; include the department or position titles responsible for and the level of authority exercised in performing the responsibilities.

  • Must have the ability to enter all areas of the plant and offices.
  • Must be able to climb and crawl in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees as well as outside vendors and government agencies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands and fingers, bend, sit and lift up to 40 lbs.


Work Environment

The job operates in a poultry plant environment. The environment can be wet, hot, cold, noisy, and odorous.


Skills Required

  • High school diploma with at least four years of poultry experience
  • Knowledge of poultry plant or food production
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and USDA standards
  • PC skills (MS Office)
  • Ability to train associates and act as supervisor when needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, use hands, and lift up to 40 lbs; able to enter all plant areas and climb/crawl in confined spaces
  • Ensure proper PPE use and adherence to safety procedures
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Availability to work Saturdays
