Assistant Supervisor

This position is responsible for assisting in ensuring that trucks are loaded correctly, leading the crew by example. Must also possess a positive and team-oriented approach to complex and time sensitive situations. Duties include the ability to successfully lead groups of people toward a common goal.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to use Produce Pro programs and computers
• Lead by setting a good example
• Plan routes effectively
• Inventory Control when needed
• Load Trucks efficiently
• Maintain 100 PPH
• Problem Solving in a fast pace environment
• Assist the Supervisors and Managers in tasks as needed
• Walk pickers through a final clean up
• Treat all employees with respect and professionalism
• Communicate between all departments as needed.  Transportation, Buyers, Sales, PF, HR, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 -2 years previous warehouse experience
• Self-starter, able to work efficiently with and without direct supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task under pressure
• Good oral and written communication skills, Ability to speak, read and write in English in order to understand and process paperwork
• Ability to use and understand portable communications within a warehouse environment
• Ability to operate and monitor all equipment (forklifts, jacks, racks, flooring, trailers) responsibly
• Strong computer skills, preferably including good working knowledge of Produce Pro.
